Program Description:
Join this immersive, cross-disciplinary learning-by-doing Maymester experience in sustainability education while nestled in a peaceful environment at a permaculture ecolodge! Educational modules will include learning in a natural classroom, hands-on experience in permaculture homesteading, along with excursions highlighting the rich natural history, local culture, local food production, and wilderness medicine.
Don’t miss out on this experiential learning opportunity to earn required or elective credit the Pura Vida way! (Pura Vida is Costa Rica’s signature phrase and it means ‘pure life’). This course also counts toward the new cross-campusTTU Minor in Sustainability that is open to students from all colleges.

A budget estimate will be available soon. Apply for scholarships to cover all or most of the costs of the program. Program fee includes all on-farm costs (lodging, meals, ground transport in the country). This is one of the most affordable Study Abroad opportunities at TTU, and open to all students.
