SAFETY & SECURITY IN STUDY ABROAD
The Office of International Affairs is continuously monitoring security/safety related conditions in all countries where we have study abroad programs. At this time we have no plans to cancel any programs, as our standing policy is to cancel programs if there is a specific US Dept. of State Travel Warning, which is not currently the case for any locations in which Texas Tech students can study abroad.
Should a Travel Warning be issued for any country in which our students study, we would not hesitate to cancel a program. Students participating on a TTU faculty-led or TTU Center in Sevilla program would NOT incur a financial obligation. Students participating in an affiliated program will be subject to that program's policy. Since as of now all programs are scheduled to take place, a commitment to participate in a faculty-led or TTU Center program means that students who choose to withdraw will still incur a financial obligation.
