Costs Related to Study Abroad
Students are responsible for the indicated costs based on the type of study abroad program they are participating in.
For faculty-led and TTU Center Seville programs:
- Texas Tech tuition and fees for the courses they are enrolled in (some fees are waived while abroad)
- Program fee that covers housing, some or all meals, excursions that are part of the program
- Airfare, unless it is included in the program fee
- Student portion of the professor expenses
- Education Abroad fee ($200)
- Insurance, unless it is included in the program fee
- Other costs related to the program (passport; student visa, if necessary; spending money; personal travel)
For affiliate programs:
- Program costs (paid to the program organizer) – meals may/may not be included
- Education Abroad fee ($200)
- Airfare, unless included in program costs
- Insurance, unless included in program costs
- Other costs related to the program (passport; student visa, if necessary; spending money; personal travel)
For reciprocal exchange programs:
- Texas Tech tuition and fees for the courses they are enrolled in (some fees are waived while abroad)

- Airfare
- Education Abroad fee ($200)
